Please note: if you're planning to stay in the Hunter Valley, we recommend booking accommodation as soon as possible - as prices can increase suddenly when concerts and other events are announced.
Below are a few suggestions for nearby accommodation.
We will be arranging a shuttle bus to pick up from these hotels, and drop guests back later in the evening. If you'd like to make use of the shuttle, just let Mel know where you're staying. A bus schedule will be added to the website closer to the big day.
Please note: the hotels listed below have been suggested as they form a short loop within reasonable distance of the wedding venue. We can arrange for the shuttle bus to pick up from other accommodation not listed here, if it is on or near the route.
Large hotel with great facilities. Accommodation options include hotel-style rooms as well as spacious 2 and 3 bedroom villas (a good option for any groups looking to share). Also one of the few hotels that does not have a 2 night minimum stay on the weekend.
Motel style accommodation in convenient location adjacent to Hunter Valley Gardens. A 2 night minimum stay applies. Good discounts currently available through Expedia, and similar third parties.
Harrigans Irish Pub & Accommodation
Accommodation attached to a popular Hunter Valley pub, including hotel style rooms and a limited number of 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. 2 night minimum stay. Check Expedia and other third-party sites for good discounts.
Large apartment-style hotel with lovely grounds and facilities. Accommodation options include 1, 2 and 3 bedroom self-contained apartments and villas. Bookings can also be made through AirBnB (as some apartments are privately owned), at a substantial discount!
voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley
A heritage style hotel that has recently undergone a stylish upgrade. This hotel is, adjacent to the wedding venue (5-10 minute walk). 2 night minimum stay.
Simple accommodation attached to the Potters Brewery pub and brasserie, including motel style rooms; and 1 and 2 bedroom self-contained villas. 2 night minimum stay on weekends, but reasonable rates (e.g. $310 total for a standard queen room). Book online here
This list certainly isn't exhaustive - there are other hotels and numerous AirBnb cottages of various sizes nearby. We just recommend booking in the same vicinity as these, if you wish to make use of the guest shuttle bus.
